Omega 3 and Vitamin D

Whilst I was out yesterday I was reminded of the importance of omega 3 essential fatty acids and also Vitamin D. It was a beautiful day yesterday with lots of sunshine and I walked on a trail alongside a river which had rapids (nothing like the sound of leaves falling and water shooting over rocks).  However, even though it was glorious sunshine for a November day and quite warm I was still aware that at this time of year it’s important to intake Vitamin D through dietary means – cod liver oil and mushrooms are both sources.  I definitely feel more achey in the winter and feel the need to supplement. In the evening we went out and got some Krill Omega 3 supplement for the essential fatty acids too.

This is a photograph from the river bank.  Apparently the bundle of sticks you can see in the image below that I took was because of beaver activity.
